UNREGISTERED Making a Cloze Activity with Hot Potatoes 5 0 0 1 1 This is a first attempt by an ICT novice1beginner to produce a cloze activity for pupils to use on the web. We are hoping to use them in lessons, and as extension and homework1after hours exercises. 1. Type in the text1words on a page. 2. Highlight a word you want to be a gap1the bit you have to fill in. 3. Click on the gap tool. It will ask you for a clue1hint to the answer, and if there are any acceptable alternative answers. 4. You can add pictures, tables and other fancy things - but that will be for my next attempt! 5. To finish go to File and Save1command for keeping your file, then Create Webpage. 6. You can alter the JCloze file and update the webpage later if you want to. 7. If you want to you can list the gap words1what's missing in your text, but that's up to you. 8. You can make your Hot Potatoes activity freely available on the web1internet by going to File and Export for WebTC. 9. Now I'm feeling confident, how about adding a weblink?!?
